1. High Volatility: VIX > 26.
The US Markets are waiting on FOMC Rate Hike of 75 basis points on Wednesday. Will Chair Powell will pivot on rate hikes before end of year? Please keep your hedges on through the Midterm elections and perhaps beyond. The new expected SPX range for this week: 4018 top and 3784 bottom.
2. US Dollar and 10 Year Interest Rate:
The US Dollar has stabilized between 112 and 110. 10Y Note Interest is at 4%. 30 year fixed rate mortgages are around 7%. In the past, 2 negative GDP Quarters signaled a recession, but apparently this time is different?!?!? Long Term the US Dollar decline is still intact with Fiscal and Monetary stimulus flooding the world with US Dollars.
3. Crypto Currency:
Bitcoin at $20,315 is still range bound. The $24,000 to $18,525 range has lasted 4 months. Corporations, Countries, and Institutional investors are accumulating large Bitcoin positions. Please continue to Dollar Cost Average into Bitcoin and Ethereum. Crypto winter will last for another 6 months, as we wait for the next Bitcoin Halving in 16 months.
